El IDS-105GPP es un Switch Gigabit Industrial de 6 o 7 puertos con Power over Ethernet que proporciona un rendimiento avanzado y permite un funcionamiento de la red determinista en tiempo real. No requiere configuración y funciona de forma inmediata una vez activado.

Fibra monomodo/un único pelo de fibra (WDM)
Conexión de dispositivos a través de un único pelo de fibra ( también denominado “Bi-Direccional” BiDi o Simplex)
Para reducir los costes, o donde hay limitaciones en cuanto a la disponibilidad de fibra, se puede utilizar la tecnología de multicanalización por división de longitud de onda (WDM). WDM utiliza frecuencias de transmisión y recepción separadas para comunicarse en un único pelo de fibra. DM utiliza frecuencias de transmisión y recepción independientes para comunicar a través de un solo cable de fibra. La tecnología WDM se basa en que las fibras ópticas pueden transportar muchas longitudes de onda de luz simultáneamente sin que se produzca interacción entre las longitudes de onda. Los sistemas WDM se dividen en diferentes patrones de longitudes de onda, convencional/grueso (CWDM) y denso (DWDM).
Cuando se utiliza un único pelo de fibra, se necesita un extremo “ascendente” y un extremo “descendente” al interconectar dispositivos de fibra.
